Happy Wednesday everyone! Here is a quick update, but first a quick rant.

- Is this possibly the worst time of year to watch sports? don't get me wrong, I think the Tour de France is a great race and Wimbledon has great tradition but euro time action does nothing for me. And baseball is in the middle of the season, so some of the excitement is on hold until September. I miss football. That is all. -

Alright, on to business.

Today we finished uploading Boston College and Nebraska to Watch Sites. We started on San Francisco 49ers, but that will take a while (there are a ton). 

We did realize that many members are not picking favorite teams for your profile. We think it is because members just can't find where to do it. So we are working to make the extended profile easier to find and customize. In the mean time if you are interested in picking your favorite teams, the location for that is in the extended profile.

In the top tab set, pick "edit profile" under the profile link

In the top left there is a link labeled "teams" - click that

In teams, check mark your favorite teams (they are listed by league and alphabetically) and save.

From there your teams will show in your profile and other members will be able to find you by team, sport, and zip code in the advanced search. We think it is a pretty cool feature, but we know we have to work on link placement.

You may have also noticed the map is more populated. Mike the developer worked until 1a.m. (thanks Mike!) to launch the enhanced opening map. It loads faster and shows more users and watch sites.

Unfortunately the new program did mess a little with the Watch Site address listings (sorry), but we are uploading the fix in the morning.
